George Nosal passed away. George Nosal Obituary George Nosal passed away peacefully on January 20th 2025 at hi home.  He is survived by his two sons, Maurizio and Alex as well as his two nieces Patrizia and Letizia and four great grandchildren.  George was born in Kutno, Poland in 1922 on November 18th.  He was 102 years, 2 months and 2 days old when he passed away.  George fled Poland during the start of WW2 and shortly after joined the British Army.  He fought in El Alamein, Tobruk and was responsible for the capture of Monte Casino in Italy near the end of the war.  His was decorated for his military service and married an Italian local before settling in Italy for several years after the war.  In 1951 George immigrated to Canada.  He remarried an American and remained in Canada for the rest of his life.    George was very proud of his Polish heritage.  In Canada his friends were diverse as he spoke 7 languages fluently and was always a very sociable person.  He sold real estate and various other jobs before his final job with the Ministry of Corrections when he retired at the ripe old age of 57 years old.    George is not only missed by his entire family, but also his life long friendships he made with his new friends in Canada.  He particularly enjoyed attending Polish events, reading books and entertaining everyone who he came across.    His wake will be held at the  Church of St. Demetrius at 3338 Lakeshore Blvd. West at 7 pm on Friday, April 11th.  We invite all of  his friends and family to attend. 5mo
